TDS breaks ground on fiber-optic internet expansion in Menomonie

MADISON – TDS Telecommunications LLC has begun building an all-fiber network across Menomonie to connect around 5,000 residential and commercial locations to super-fast symmetrical internet speeds of up to 8G.

The project means a new service option for Menomonie and up to 10G connectivity for businesses, as well as TV and phone options for all fiber customers.

“We couldn’t be more proud to make this multi-billion dollar investment and bring new, reliable internet to residents and businesses,” said Drew Petersen, vice president of Corporate Affairs for TDS. “We’ve seen first-hand the difference fiber connectivity makes for communities and residents, and we’re proud to be the first to bring this great connection to Menomonie.”
